The Learning Project

Prairie Spirit Schools Foundation is excited to announce The Learning Project! We have created one MAIN Project Based Learning approach initiative and have combined and created a collaboration of both our Annual Student Learning Grants and our Da Vinci Project. With the use of our Project Based Learning approach, schools/classrooms throughout the Prairie Spirit School Division will submit learning initiatives that will enable them to further engage with their communities and meet curricular outcomes through their rigorous, collaborative projects and initiatives.

As we blend both projects into one all encompassing, learning project, we know we will be able to obtain an even greater reach, participation level and impact among the students and educators in our Division.

The Learning Project will support Prairie Spirit Learners to reach curricular outcomes and aspirational goals by connecting to and engaging with authentic, real-world questions, challenges, and problems.

The Prairie Spirit Schools Foundation will accept applications for The Learning Project for schools/classrooms in the Prairie Spirit School Division that are interested in participating in a Project Based Learning experience until February 25, 2021.  Applications will be reviewed and successful recipients will be notified on March 2, 2021 by email. Grants will be awarded for projects that follow a Project Based Learning model and the degree to which the project:

  • Connects students to communities
  • Develops competencies, skills, and curricular knowledge
  • Fosters learning with specific tools and technologies.

Please click HERE for additional information on The Learning Project as well as the application form.

Note: If you are an educator in the Prairie Spirit School Division and have a learning initiative that meets The Learning Project criteria/application and was initiated and began in the 2020/21 school calendar year and has been completed; or is currently underway/will be underway shortly please know you ARE able to submit an application and apply for a possible grant through The Learning Project.

The Foundation is excited to share The Learning Project and we are happy to assist with any additional questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. All applicants must complete the application provided to be considered. A word version of the application is also available (as it may be easier to complete) – just send us a quick email to psfoundation@spiritsd.ca and we will be happy to send it your way!

THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2020 Prairie Spirit Schools Foundation ‘Golf For A Cause’ Presented by Con-Tech! Stay tuned for our 2022 plans!

Online Registration for one player: $125/Player

Golf Registration for Individual

Online Registration for a team* (4 players): $500/team (4 players)

Golf Registration for Team

**BEFORE you complete your online or in-person registration please review the following FAQ’s**:

Here are a few questions & answers to further assist you!

Can I register for ‘Golf For A Cause’ directly at the golf course? Yes! In-person Course Registration at the Legends Golf Course in Warman is also available! Please ensure if you are registering in-person when you arrive at the course that you indicate you would like to register as an Individual or a Team under the Prairie Spirit Schools Foundation ‘Golf For A Cause’ Fundraising Initiative. (Note: This will ensure you receive the voucher* as well as a Welcome Package!)

Is the ‘Golf For A Cause’ fundraising initiative and promotion valid at any other golf course besides the Legends Golf Course in Warman? We are pleased to partner and support the Legends Golf Course in Warman once again. The ‘Golf For A Cause’ fundraising initiative and promotion is only valid for this course.

What is included in my ‘Golf For A Cause’ registration and PAID round of golf? Enjoy ONE round of golf at the Legends Golf Course in Warman at a date and tee-time that is chosen and convenient for you (as arranged with the Legends Golf Course). A cart will be included for your first PAID round of golf. Your first PAID round will have no restrictions and can be used 7 days a week. You will be able to set-up your Tee-Time with the Legends Golf Course in Warman at a time that works for you upon confirmation and receipt of your registration. Your paid registration also includes one VOUCHER* for a complimentary round of golf (see below for conditions & details) and a small welcome package from Save-On-Foods (Brighton, Cumberland & Kensington locations in Saskatoon).

Each paid ‘Golf For A Cause’ registration includes one VOUCHER* for a complimentary round of golf – tell me more! *One VOUCHER for a complimentary round of golf will be provided by the Legends Golf Course upon your arrival at the course for your PAID round of golf) and is valid for ONE weekday, WALKING round and must be used in the 2020 golf season (One voucher is included with each paid registration). Note: This voucher is transferable should you wish to give the voucher to someone else, however, the rules & conditions for the voucher as outlined above & by the course still apply.

Do I need to use my PAID ‘Golf For A Cause’ round of golf AND the voucher* during the 2020 Golf Season? Yes, you must use both the PAID round of golf and the voucher* for the complimentary round of golf (voucher* will be provided by the Course when you arrive for your PAID round of golf if you have registered online OR during your in-person registration) PRIOR to the close of the 2020 Golf Season (as indicated by the Legends Golf Course and within the conditions listed on the voucher* for your complimentary round of golf.)

What happens after I complete my ‘Golf For A Cause’ registration here online? Upon receipt of your online registration and payment please allow 24 hours for your registration to be received by the Legends Golf Course. You will receive a confirmation email from Prairie Spirit Schools Foundation letting you know that your registration and payment has been received and your information has been shared with the Legends Golf Course for you to arrange a date and tee-time that works for you as well as any additional information will be included within this confirmation. Again, you may also purchase your individual or team ‘Golf For A Cause’ round of golf in-person at the Legends Golf Course!

Will I receive a tax receipt with an Individual or Team (4 Players) ‘Golf For A Cause’ Registration? As the advantages/benefits of this initiative to the participant(s) are more than the cost a tax receipt will not be issued.

Why should I register as a team and do we have to golf together? All individual players and teams are to respect the rules and regulations set out by the Legends Golf Course (subject to change for the safety of all staff & guests) and thus a team of four is not required nor will they need to play together at the same time. When registering payment must be made in full if the option to register as a team is chosen. While there is not a reduced rate in making a team purchase, we do know that purchasing the “Team” option for a family, a gift, a corporate donation or staff appreciation, etc. may be more convenient than registering each player individually especially if the names of the players are not known at the time of registration. (This can be confirmed with the golf course at the time of booking; the initial information provided on your online registration form will be the information that is shared.)

The math makes sense – purchase your ‘Golf For A Cause’ round today!

Enjoy a round of golf + Get A Voucher* & Welcome Package + Give Back to Students = Prairie Spirit Schools Foundation ‘Golf For A Cause’
